The new construction continues to move forward on schedule. Our nurse's office is scheduled to be completed by the end of November. The new elevator, located on the northeast side of main building is scheduled to start this week. Highland North is progressing at a fast pace. It should be ready for the next school year.
North Central Association (NCA) will visit HHS, the first part of December. The NCA takes a look at the school and evaluates all the programs that HHS has in place. NCA makes suggestions and recommendations to the school. The NCA is made up of principals and teachers from other school's in the state.
November testing dates:
TVI will be conducting Accuplacer Placement Exam for seniors only on Wednesday, November 12th @ 8:00 AM. (All students attend)
NMHSSA test will be given to All 11th Graders on November 18th. (ONLY 11th Graders will attend school that day)
Work Keys test will be given to 9th Grade Academy students. The Work Keys test is a career interest test.

To the HHS boy's and girl's cross country teams for qualifying for the state meet in Gallup NM.
The HHS marching band and flag team for their outstanding performances in the Battle of the Bands and the Zia Band Competition. The HHS Marching Band and the Flag Team traveled to Las Vegas Nev., this past weekend for regional competition.
Senior Daniel Martinez has been selected KKOB Student of the Week. Daniel will be featured on Channel 4 News on Thursday Night.
