Please encourage everyone at the parents meeting to attend Winter Carnival on Tuesday Dec. 13, 5:30-8:00 in the cafeteria. We have invited different performing groups from all of the schools in our cluster.
At the Band Booster meeting, I asked everyone to give special attention to welcoming all the students and parents who attend. Gabriella Duran also told me there will be the Cluster Administration at Highland on Tuesday night for a meeting [the Legislative Reception (see entry below)]. The meeting was scheduled several weeks ago. I think Winter Carnival will be an excellent chance to showcase our commitment to Highland, to the community, and to our kids.

The Highland community has long been known for being friendly, inviting, and inclusive. I know parents of several current HHS students who had once viewed HHS with apprehension before actually getting to know our school. After their first visit, they had completely changed their minds and decided to send their students here. Across the board, they have continued to praise our teachers, administrators, and students for Highland's outstanding educational opportunities and achievements.
