Trailblazers Skate

Vincent, Paul, John and Evan took their dads ice skating Saturday, January 15^th at the Outpost Ice Arena.  I learned how to skid to a stop by without turning in circles and then falling down.  While Paul and Vincent talked about magic cards, my dad and I were playing "sneak up on each other and scare 'em."  Whenever Paul's dad got close to us, we would go as fast as we could and hide behind them to stay away from his digital camera (also known as an evil laser disintegrater).  After skating we went to McDonalds and bought drinks and ice cream, and everyone went into the play structure to hide from the Dads.

Trailblazers Hike La Luz

On Saturday, January 29^th the Trailblazers met at the La Luz trailhead for an afternoon hike.  It was sunny but cold.  Paul Kruchoski and his dad, Vincent and his dad, John and his dad and sister, and my dad and I hiked up what seemed like half way.  We took a small break to eat and look out over the city.  John and his sister had a monocular.  About half way back down, they discovered they had lost it, and had to hike back up and found it.  When we got back to the cars, the sun had gone down and it was cold.
