An old, fire-damaged family Bible passed down through the Osborn family first sparked my interest in genealogy nearly a quarter century ago. The few names scribbled in the back of that Bible gave me a glimpse back into a family history that long predated my grandparents. My initial intrigue about these earlier ancestors led to about two years of intense research, mostly into my mother's side of my family. I presumed that the paucity of family documents about my father's family would mean never knowing much more than a few names of my great-great grandparents "back in Poland." Not long ago, while browsing the Internet and idly submitting my family name to various search engines, I stumbled across a reference to a Cecilia Kruchoski in Buenos Aires, Argentina – of all places! My interest was once again sparked, and I began collating the "hits" I was getting on the Kruchoski name. As a lark, I began checking on the Kruchowski name as well. To my further amazement, there was another "hit" in Argentina, this time for a Bronislada Kruchowski in Apostoles, Misiones (province), Argentina. With these leads, I decided to look for other far-flung relatives in Argentina, so I searched for the Kruchoski name in an on-line phone directory. Bingo! A total of eight names with addresses and phone numbers came back. As I composed a letter to each of them, I thought I might as well contact as many of the North American Krucho(w)ski's as I could, too. || FamilyNet || Krucho(w)ski: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 ||
